My first stop on my around the world adventure was Croatia. Truthfully, I had limited knowledge of Croatia when I arrived on July 29, 2017. I was aware of their most recent civil war and the fact they had been part of Yugoslavia under communist rule, but I certainly had no idea how that impacted the thinking of the citizens, especially when it comes to business.

If you are participating in wedding/bridal shows, large or small, here are some tips to get a bigger return on your investment: 

  •   Upfront planning and preparation.  Have a game plan for the show.  Know your goals, set-up, offers and who is doing what.

  •   Be prepared to do business.  Don’t come to a show just to get exposure and leads, look for a way to write business – so have contracts and forms available.

  •   Pre-show marketing.  Let people know you will be at the show – post it to social, send out emails to your database & let them know if you have any show specials you will be offering.
