If submitting your own ad, provide a high-resolution, print-ready PDF file with fonts and images embedded, without crop marks. We accept any of the Adobe Creative Suite programs; however fees may apply. We cannot accept ads created in Word, Publisher or other software not intended for print publication. Since left or right placement of full page display ads is not guaranteed, the live area noted in our diagram is centered, providing for the ad to be placed on either left or right. If your ad is left/right-specific, or you prefer the QR code be on the outer edge of the page, consider submitting both a left- and right-hand version.
Submit files at a minimum resolution of 300 dpi (dots/pixels per inch). Files submitted at a lower resolution may be accepted for print, but can result in a softer image on the final product. Photos taken from the Web (72 dpi JPEGs or GIFs) will NOT be accepted.
include all fonts. Adobe Type 1 or OpenType fonts are preferred. You may also convert text to outlines. include all linked images. Placed images must be saved at a minimum of 300 pixels/inch as TIF or EPS files, and should be in CMYK or Grayscale mode. All electronic documents must be accompanied by a press-quality printed color proof of the ad. Without a proof and files submitted exactly to our specifications, we are not responsible for issues with the ad, including color issues. Ads that do not conform to these standards must be modified, and may be subject to additional charges, up to full production rates.
photos. Provide one photo for a half page profile ad; three photos for a full page profile. Avoid placing text, logos or like elements within photos.
copy and contact info. Full page profile ads contain approximately 70 words of text. Copy may need to be edited to fit. Half page profiles will contain approximately 50 words of text. Profile ads allow 4 lines of contact info, which can include a phone, street address, website and URL. Other combinations of second phones, multiple locations, etc., may be used, but please note the 4 line limit.
logo. Provide a single, high-resolution company logo for placement on a full page profile ad.
QR code. For full page profiles, provide your account executive with the URL to which your QR code will be linked.
